The UNESCO Natural Sciences Sector is creating a roster of experts who can potentially work in areas related to UNESCO’s mandate in science. The Roster is designed to strengthen collaboration and knowledge exchange among Member States, while also providing visibility to independent specialists. The fields covered include Basic Sciences, Engineering, Life Sciences, Emerging Technologies, Science, Technology and Innovation Policy, Open Science, Science Education and Science Communication.
The expert roster will streamline the selection of top-tier specialists to conduct evaluations and offer technical expertise, directly supporting UNESCO’s mandate in science. Designed to include thousands of professionals from all Member States, the roster enables the rapid identification of the most suitable experts, based on regional representation, scientific excellence, and subject-matter expertise.
The Roster shall include experts in the above-mentioned fields from junior to senior level. Please note that the inclusion of an expert on the Roster does not guarantee selection for a specific task. The internal Roster will enable UNESCO to contact experts who directly match the needs of a specific assignment. This call has no deadline; the aim is to continuously update the Roster.
