Application for ‘The Remote Access to a Single Crystal X-Ray Diffractometer for African Scientists’

This call for application is supported by The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), International Union of Crystallography (IUCr), Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS), and University of Lorraine and launched in partnership with AFRAMED.

This call is open to Junior principal investigators and early career faculty who hold a position in an African institute (under 45 years old). The applicants should be physicists, physical chemists, chemical physicists, or material scientists. Please note that the visit will not include training in macromolecular crystallography, therefore all applicants should have received training on X-ray diffractometers.

I grant UNESCO the worldwide non-exclusive rights to reproduce, translate, adapt, publish, perform, broadcast, and communicate to the public, in any language and in printed and electronic format, the whole or any part of the responses provided and to authorize other publishers or co-publishers to exercise any or all of these rights. I also grant UNESCO the worldwide irrevocable rights to deposit the whole or any part of the surveys/interviews/online contributions responses in its multilingual Open Access Repository in electronic form. This entails the right of access to copy, usage, distribution, adaptation, for lawful purposes, with in specified constraints.
